Measured by the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF). This is a quantifiable feature not just a concept.
Increased by integration. By adding a component directly onto the motherboard rather than using an add in card the reliability can be enhanced.
Increased by redundancy. The reliability can be increased by ensuring the system can continue to function despite the failure of a critical subsystem such as a hard disk, power supply or fan.
Directly impacted by the other four concepts. In other words, systems that are highly available, serviceable, usable and manageable are also likely to be highly reliable.
