In order to maintain high levels of reliability and availability servers should be highly
serviceable. If they are relatively simple to repair servers can be brought online
quickly in the event of failure, thus improving availability.
Serviceability is a quantifiable measurement of server performance. It can be
measured by the MTTR which is fundamentally the difference between the MTBF
and expected up time.
